When it comes to financial education, my journey to success, having the ability to speak to people and large crowds, and knowing how to tread people there a certain books that I go to.
Here are my all favorite books.
RICH DAD POOR DAD
By Robert Kiyosaki
To me, this book it the foundation of financial education. Robert Kiyosaki really breaks it down in layman terms as he talks about personal financing.
One of Mr. Kiyosaki’s quotes is that “the main reason people struggle financially is because they have spent years in school but learned nothing about money. The result is that people learn to work for money….but never learn to have money work for them.”
if you want to know how to build wealth, and keep it, this is the book for you. For me this book has taught me about investing, taxes, wealth building, and how the old system of our parent and grand parents does not work anymore and if you want to get ahead, financially, you have to learn the ways of the most wealthiest people in the world. This book gives you just that.
“Rich Dad Poor Dad is a starting point for anyone looking to gain control of their financial future.”
I read this book over and over again to build upon my financial education.
21 SUCCESS SECRETS OF $ELF-MADE MILLIONAIRE$
By Brian Tracy
The first thing people think when they read or hear the title of this book is that it will be all about money and get rich strategies and it is NOT!!!
This book is one of my favorites because it is short (77pgs), to the point, and it is all about self development. YEP, self development!
Listen to these titles…
- DREAM BIG DREAMS
- SEE YOURSELF AS SELF-EMPLOYED
- COMMIT TO EXCELLENCE
- DEDICATE YOURSELF TO LIFELONG LEARNING
- PRACTIVE SELF-DEVELOPMENT IN ALL THINGS
- GET AROUND THE RIGHT PEOPLE
- NEVER ALLOW FAILURE TO BE AN OPTION (my favorite title)
Mr. Tracy wrote this book after 15yrs of research, teaching, and personal experience on the subject of self-made millionaires.
You see this book is all about building ones self and getting better every day, week, month, and year. You see the key is not to change thing around you, but to change YOU. That will get you so your goals and push you beyond your wildest dreams. READ THIS BOOK!!!
HOW TO WIN FRIENDS & INFLUENCE PEOPLE
By Dale Carnegie
This is the book I read the most because I make it a point to read this book once every year.
Mr. Carnegie was one of the greatest teachers to walk this earth and wrote some of the greatest books on speaking,”The Quick & Easy Way to effective Speaking,” and enjoying life, “How to Stop Worrying and Start Living.” I have read almost all of Mr. Carnegie’s books because they are so good and if you apply his teachings you will get better and your veiw on life and they thing around will change, for the better.
This is another self development book on how to treat people and from that people will then treat you as you treat them. Even if they don’t like you.
Some of the thing that are talked about in this book is how to not use the word “but.” Instead of saying you are doing a good job, BUT you could blah blah blah Mr. Carnegie suggest that you replace but with and. This way when you criticize someone it doesn’t seem so harsh.
The reason for this is because when you criticize someone you want the to do better and the way you do that is to do it in a way where it brings out their weakness, but you also talk about their strengths.
This book is full of nuggets and tons of great information. GO BUT IT AND READ IT AND YOU LIFE WILL CHANGE!!
